I was talking with a co-worker today. And we were talking about what ReferralsUS actually does. We threw around terms like paradigm shift, game changer and more. But then I remembered an article I recently read from Seth Godin about respect.
Like a light piercing the darkness, a moment of clarity enveloped me.
Respect.
What we bring to the sales cycle is respect. Actually, we bring it back to the sales cycle.
No one likes cold calls or telemarketers. Why do you think the turnover rate at cold call centers is near 100%, and the lifecycle for a telemarketer is two years?
It’s a job that centers entirely around slaughtering the sheep. Making as many sales as possible in the shortest amount of time possible. There’s no thought to customer satisfaction or employee satisfaction! It’s an entirely unsustainable course of action. Eventually every number in the world will be called, or placed onto “do not call” lists.
Think about how ReferralsUS works:
You call in your best clients, and sit down with them (relationship 1, respect 1) to see how everything is going with them (respect 2, relationship 2).
Then you ask them if they’d be willing to look over a list of people they might know (respect 3) and if any of them would like your services.
You take that list back, thank your clients (respect 4, relationship 3) and then proceed to call your warmed up, near hot leads!
Except they aren’t leads at all. They’re referrals from trusted clients to their network of friends and family. Meaning another point for relationship and respect!
And this is where it gets really great!
Those new clients, become trusted clients, who then provide referrals to more new clients. And eventually you have to start hiring in more staff to cope with the extra demand!
I mentioned that ReferralsUS is a game-changer, and it is. It’s the death of cold calls, and the return of win-win sales relationships!
