I just wrapped up Enough. while flying from Columbus to Baltimore, on my way to DC. Of course I had to work up a One Paragraph Book Review!
John C. Bogle is the founder of Vanguard, and the creator of the first mutual fund (1). Enough. centers around the issue of having enough, and what that means (2). With the recent role of mutual funds, their subcategories, and speculators in the Great Recession: Mr Bogle feels in some way, responsible (3). This is a call to maturity and responsibility, to return to the guiding principles that led American Capitalism to be so dominant in the world economy (4). It is also a caution against excess, in the timeless puritanical tradition (5). Bottom line: This is the type of book that you cannot read and then do nothing; it compels one to action (specifically Right, with a capital R, action)(6.)
