Visualizations increase comprehension. According to the U.S. Department of Labor, more than 80 percent of comprehension occurs via visual input. Furthermore, people retain 6.5 times more information when visual aids complement verbal interaction.
A visual will trigger, thoughts, memories, and brain activity. More so than simple hearing. The only way to maximize retention and comprehension is to provide something that can be touched.
While we all think that business cards are that visualizations that lead to a referral. As in “here’s my card, if you think of anyone…” Except it doesn’t work like that, the visual is tied into you and your card. Not to the clients’ social network.
However, a list of potential contacts with information will trigger memories and information associated with that social network.
Remember the silly sentence to help remember the planets:
Mary’s violet eyes make John stay up nights pondering.
The first letter in each word correlates to a planets name. It’s called a mnemonic. It’s a mental trick to help remember something, to call back information that is stored away.
ReferralsUS helps clients remember who would be interested in your products. It’s a mnemonic that leads to more clients.
Meaning you can retire sooner than you think…
